Who I Am
Hello! I'm Sarah Harris and I'm a Fractional HR Manager based just outside Stratford-upon-Avon.
Prior to setting up Prosper HR, I held Head of HR and HR Manager roles in a number of SMEs in Warwickshire, primarily in the Manufacturing and Tech industries. With lots of experience in setting up HR functions from scratch in owner-managed companies, I understand the issues growing companies face and how to set them up with an HR function that supports that growth and adds value to the business.
My Mission
I set up Prosper HR as I wanted to channel my passion and expertise in HR to help businesses prosper through their people, no matter where they are in their HR journey. I very much believe in getting it right first time recruiting the right people to save a lot of headaches managing out the wrong people later on, then supporting companies with retaining their valuable people.
How I Can Help
Typically in a small business when the business cannot yet justify a permanent HR Manager, HR falls to the MD or Office Manager. The MD is too busy trying to run their business and the Office Manager may be limited in their HR expertise. For HR to be more than just an admin function, that's where I come in – offering the services of an HR Manager but without the permanent headcount. I also offer a helping hand to busy HR Managers who are swamped with the day-to-day and don't have time for the value added projects.
Beyond HR
Outside of HR, I'm a keen singer and sing with a local contemporary choir where I've had fantastic opportunities – making records at Abbey Road Studios, singing at Proms in Hyde Park, at the NEC and supporting stars such as Chesney Hawkes, Kiki Dee, Toyah Wilcox and Russell Watson! Greece is my go-to holiday destination, I love Thai food and going to see musicals with my daughter who is studying Musical Theatre. I also love spending time with family, friends and my labrador Mojo.
